It was early in the day, commuters still scurrying in the harsh June wind towards exposed bus stops and railway station tunnels. Titania McGrath had just left her house, a piece of wholemeal single-source baker’s grind artisanal gluten-free toast wedged in her over bleached teeth. She shivered, regretting not packing an extra merino wool pull over in her backpack, but she would make do somehow. She nonetheless removed her left calf-hugging leather boot and dumped it unceremoniously amongst the debris the winds had collected as she crossed the bridge towards the hospital.
Single calf high woman’s boot. Thanks Yamin.
